AIDAchat: our work on on-board chat
Custom business logic and integration into on-board workflows for the existing guest offering.
Chat for guests on board
Replira connects guests with each other and your cruise line's service teams. Cabin chats, personal invitations and quick conversations accompany the journey, integrated into your guest offering.
Short-lived QR invitations encourage personal encounters and a deliberate decision to communicate.
Dedicated chats for reception, the kids' club and excursion teams, for individual guests or several fellow travellers.
Compatible interfaces enable server replacement with little integration effort. The existing chat frontend can be retained.
The product in detail
A meeting point after an excursion, a quick message to fellow travellers: cabin chat keeps guests connected during their trip. They can invite other travellers deliberately. Private conversations support one-to-one exchanges. Messages and earlier arrangements remain available in each chat.
One guest shows a QR invitation; the other scans it with their app. This creates a private conversation or joins a cabin chat without exchanging phone numbers. The invitation is short-lived and single-use. This encourages personal encounters and signals both parties' wish to communicate.
Reception, the kids' club and excursion teams can open a service chat for a specific request. They can address one or several guests on the same trip, including people in different cabins. This helps clarify questions, agree meeting points or share information about a joint activity.
The cabin phone reaches guests only when they are in their cabin. A digital cabin message is not always noticed immediately. Service chat complements these channels: guests can read information and, where replies are enabled, answer when convenient. New messages automatically trigger push notifications.
Service staff control whether guests can reply in a chat or only receive information. Once an arrangement is complete, they can close replies; the previous exchange remains readable for both sides. The dialogue can be reopened if needed. Requests have a clear conclusion without losing the arrangements made.
Departments manage service chats in a dedicated interface. Permissions control who can view areas and start or continue conversations. Search by guest, cabin, ticket number and conversation content helps find service requests. The conversation view is limited to service chats; private guest chats are not shown there.
Replira is an independent rebuild with its own business logic and implements the existing solution's key interfaces. This allows the server component to be replaced with little integration effort while retaining the existing chat frontend. New capabilities such as service chats can be added on this foundation.
Replira is designed for integration into existing guest apps and operation on servers on board. Travel and cabin assignments, purchased chat access and connections to existing systems can be combined within the guest offering. Messages are stored on the on-board server; the push service receives a generic notification of a new message. We tailor integration, departments and operating rules to your cruise line's intended service.
