Develop patient apps reliably
Patient apps must meet domain requirements and keep pace with operating systems, frameworks and app stores. We analyse existing applications and decide with you which parts can stay and which need replacing. We rebuilt Takeda's ID+ patient app in six weeks; without a replacement, the existing app would have been removed from the store. Such projects begin with a direct conversation between domain specialists and IT: which workflows should the app support, what requirements apply to the next version and which documents are needed for review? This allows technical development and specialist coordination to be planned together from the outset.
Documentation that keeps pace with the app
A new app version also requires updated review documentation. Screens and workflows must be documented and clearly linked to the relevant version. If an interface or workflow changes, the documentation must reflect it. We clarify early which requirements and evidence are actually needed and how the documentation should be organised. Decisions and assumptions remain traceable so specialists and IT can work from a shared foundation. Technical implementation and documentation become part of one workflow.
For ID+, we automated screen documentation generation. It covers several hundred screen states on iOS and Android, grouped by functional workflows. Documentation can be regenerated for new releases to reflect the application's current state. Specialist reviewers therefore receive documents matching the delivered version. We provide the technical foundation; specialist review and approval remain within the client's process.
